Biography
I am an Assistant Professor in Applied Matematics at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, and the Principal Investigator of a Nanyang Assistant Professorship (NAP) grant on 'Geometric Optimization and Design in Learning and Robotics'. Previously, I was a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow & Principal Investigator at NTU from 2022 to March 2024, and an Early Career Research Fellow at Fitzwilliam College in the University of Cambridge from 2018 to 2022. I studied mathematics as an undergraduate at Balliol College in the University of Oxford before doing graduate work in mathematics, physics, and engineering, earning a PhD in Information Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 2018 under the supervision of Professor Rodolphe Sepulchre. A common theme of my research is the application of geometry to problems arising in statistics, optimization, materials science, and robotics.
